#Bangladesh celebrates the launch of its first-ever Metro Rail mass rapid transit in the capital city #Dhaka, stepping into a golden era of #Development towards a #SmartBangladesh by 2041. For one of the most congested cities in the world, this #MetroRail will be able to move more than 5 million people across the two poles of the city, saving daily time worth more than BDT 80 million, cutting down small transport costs worth over BDT 10 million, and reducing both energy consumption and environmental pollution.
We wholeheartedly congratulate and thank Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, and the personnel involved in turning this project into reality, for engraving a stepping stone towards Bangladesh's progress. আজ মহান বিজয় দিবস। ১৯৭১ সালের এদিনেই ৩০ লক্ষ শহিদের রক্তদানে হয়েছে বাংলাদেশের সূচনা। এবং এই দিন থেকেই এক নতুন প্রত্যাশায়, গৌরবে দিপ্তিমান অহঙ্কার নিয়ে বাঙালি জাতি গোড়ে তুলে এসেছেন নিজেদের স্বপ্নগুলোকে। এমনই এক স্বপ্নের নাম ওয়াল্টন, এবং আমাদের স্বপ্নকে বাস্তবে রূপান্তরিত হতে দেখতে পেয়ে আমরা আজীবন কৃতজ্ঞ সেই বীরদের প্রতি, যারা নিজেদের জীবন দিয়ে ছিনিয়ে এনেছেন এই স্বাধীন দেশ, এবং ১৬ কোটি মানুষকে দিয়েছেন সীমাহীন স্বপ্ন দেখার অধিকার।

Today is our national Victory Day. On this very day in 1971, the bloodbath of 3 million freedom fighters produced Bangladesh. Since then, proud Bangladeshis have been chasing their limitless ambitions and dreams with hope and spirit. One such dream is the dream of WALTON, and we are forever grateful to the martyrs and freedom fighters of our liberation war, and the 160 million Bangladeshis, for giving us the right to dream fearlessly in a free nation.
To accelerate the development our beloved nation and build its resistance and resilience to natural and man-made disasters, Better Bangladesh Tomorrow will continue to strive through its relentless efforts by empowering the people of Bangladesh. On that note, we wish every #bangladeshi a glorious Victory day.
"To Deny People their Rights is to Challenge Their Humanity," said Nelson Mandela, a pioneer of #HumanRights. Irrespective of whether you are Asian or White, Muslim or Hindu, Male or Female, Democrat or Republican, Bangladeshi or British, Rich or Poor, as a human being, are entitled to Freedom, Justice, and Dignity. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UHDR), adopted by the UNGA in 1948, has established these rights. But, in truth, humans were born with them since humanity's inception.
Volunteerism is the most simple yet significant form of philanthropy that a person can do for the world and its greater good. We are grateful to the volunteers who have helped us pursue the Sustainable Development Goals since our inception, and your contributions encourage us to continue pursuing the dream of a Better Bangladesh Tomorrow.

Computers have positioned themselves as a basic human necessity, and our lives depend on them. But, imagine you live in a remote village where a person's scope of imagination is limited. When these people get to access a computer and use it to transform their lives, we get to witness true empowerment. A computer's ability to empower is exponentially greater than its computational power.
